What happens when I ask a ten year-old boy to memorize a Beethoven Sonatina? A patient piano teacher combined with daily practice teach him to break the music down, line by line, measure by measure, until the impossible is accomplished. Beethoven rings through our house. I feel like I’m watching my child grow wings. On his fingers. This mother is cheering like she’s watching the end of a Rocky movie. But the fight isn’t won without help. Michael Allen Harrison stands unassuming on our side of the ring. He started a non-profit organization, The Snowman Foundation, that has helped pay for our piano lessons for seven years. Thanks Michael.
